Grosse Scheidegg - Oberläger - Pfanni - Schwarzwaldalp

On this wonderfully varied mountainous walk you'll be accompanied by the majestic Wetterhorn mountain and the rugged Engelhorn range.

The path undulates gently from Grosse Scheidegg to Gratschärm, where we turn right. A flat path takes us on to Scheidegg Oberläger. A wonderfully pleasant footpath takes us to the steep descent down to Pfanni (alternatively take the footpath from Scheidegg Oberläger via Hornseeli to Pfanni). The path descends over alpine meadows, past dairy huts to Schwarzwaldalp. Should you have time, it's well worth visiting the ancient sawmill at Schwarzwaldalp or the impressive Rosenlaui Gorge. The yellow Grindelwald Bus takes you from Schwarzwaldalp back to Grindelwald or further on to Meiringen.
